Practice
Samatha Vipassana Meditation practice helps you break harmful thinking patterns and habits. You develop the skill of observing how your mind's attention moves from one thought to another using Metta or Loving kindness as the object of meditation (as an anchor).
Metta is a powerful object of meditation - naturally taking you to an uplifted state of mind that is easy to maintain and makes learning fast and fun.
As you go deeper into the practice, you experience how the three mental skills of mindfulness, concentration, and insight transform your mind and lead a wholesome life.
Expected outcomes
Practising the skills of mindfulness, harmonious practice and collectedness regularly will help you maintain focus during important activities, get into flow states and detect and overcome habitual patterns of restlessness, sloth, anger, frustration, disappointment, doubt or self-blame.
Developing these skills will help you build new habits aligned with your goals and values while letting go of bad habits that no longer serve you, unlocking your potential to live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

About the guide
In this retreat, we believe that you are your own best teacher. However, we also understand that it can be challenging to navigate the path of meditation alone. That's why we're pleased to offer the guidance of Rajiv Dinesh, who has trained directly under Bhante Vimalaramsi and successfully shared these teachings with hundreds of students worldwide - Dhammasukha Meditation Centre in the USA and DSMC Asia.
Rajiv's approach to meditation is contemporary, ensuring compatibility with the growing body of scientific study in this area. He encourages the spirit of inquiry and skepticism in practitioners, empowering them to develop a deep understanding of the teachings and the techniques involved. With his guidance, you'll have the opportunity to make fast progress along the step-by-step path that the Buddha has laid out for us.
