NEW MONK AT THE CENTRE

Venerable Chandananda

Arriving this Summer at the Samatha-Vipassana Meditation Centre, a young monk from Sri Lanka, Venerable Matthumangala Chandananda, is currently fulfilling an invitation from the Alberta Buddhist Vihara Association. Ven Chandananda accompanied by Acting Abbot Venerable Medhankara are spending the rains retreat (Vassana) at the Centre.

WELCOME!

All are most welcome to the web site of "Samatha-Vipassana Meditation Centre", Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Edmonton is known as the 'City of Champions'.

The Meditation Centre was established on August 1st, 2006 under the guidance of Venerable Bhikkhu Seelananda.

Though this Centre was opened in 2006, our Association, "Alberta Buddhist Vihara Association" has now reached its 27th Anniversary. We have done a lot to keep our heads above water during this time.

However, there is much more to be done for the benefit of the many in this society. We sincerely thank all those who have helped along the way for this worthwhile cause.

LET US PRACTICE, DEVELOP, AND CULTIVATE THE DHAMMA
